    After obtaining his Master's degree in law in 1976, Professor Krzysztof Rączka started working at the Labour Law and Social Policy Department of the Institute of Administration and Management at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, holding the following positions: intern, assistant, senior assistant, assistant professor, and since 1 January 1997 - associate professor.

    In 1983, under the supervision of Professor Zbigniew Salwa, he defended his doctoral thesis entitled The length of Service Allowance, for which he also received an award from the Minister of Labour and Social Policy. His doctoral dissertation was published in 1984. Professor Krzysztof Rączka was habilitated at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw on 15 May 1995 on the basis of a dissertation entitled Employee Participation in the Management of State Enterprises in Poland. Legal issues.

    Professor Krzysztof Rączka is the author of more than 160 publications, predominantly on the topics of working time in employment, collective labour relations and civil servant law. Since 1996, he has been associated with the oldest Polish periodical devoted to legal and social aspects of employment - the Work and Social Security periodical, holding the following positions: deputy editor-in-chief, editor-in-chief, and currently Chairman of the Scientific Council.

    Professor Krzysztof Rączka has been actively involved in the organisational activities of the University of Warsaw University, in particular the Faculty of Law and Administration. Between 2005 and 2008, he served, inter alia, as Vice-Dean for Students' Affairs and then, for two terms, as Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw (2008 - 2016).

    For his achievements in scientific and didactic work, Professor Rączka has a received the second degree award of the Minister of Science, Higher Education and Technology, as well as numerous awards of the Rector of the University of Warsaw.

    An important area of Mr Professor's activity as a practising lawyer is his professional activity, which he has combined with his work at the University of Warsaw for many years. In the years 1984 -1995, he was employed at the Secretariat of the Legislative Council to the Prime Minister, where he served successively as secretary of the Labour and Social Insurance Law Group and then as secretary of the Civil Law and International Turnover Group. From 1991 to 1996, he participated in the Sessions of the International Labour Conference of the International Labour Organization. From 1992 to 1995 he was a member, and from 1993 to 1994 he was Chairman, of the Supreme Employment Council under the Minister of Labour and Social Policy. From 1994, he was a member of the Commission for Labour Law Reform at the Minister of Labour and Social Policy.

    The activities of Professor Krzysztof Rączka as a judge of the Supreme Court in the Chamber of Labour, Social Insurance and Public Affairs, currently the Chamber of Labour and Social Insurance, require separate and special emphasis. Professor Rączka was appointed by the President of the Republic of Poland as a Judge of the Supreme Court in the Chamber of Labour, Social Insurance and Public Affairs in August 2016. Since then, he has been performing his duties as a Judge of the Supreme Court, participating in the jurisprudential activities of this Court.
